I haven't really worked in about a year. Yes, I've made money. But I didn't work hard for it. I had saved enough money over the past few years to buy a car outright, start a business, and take several vacations- including Hawaii, California, Vegas, Chicago, a month in Europe, and several trips between Aspen and NYC. Unfortunately, I'm at the point where I need to find a full-time job again. :(

I sent my resumes to some dance studios in NYC and interviewed at an employment agency. The employment agency told me that they would arrange several interviews for me that week. After calling every day for two weeks, I had zero interviews. Since I didn't have any job prospective and was so frustrated with my roommate, I decided to take a break and head back to Aspen for a week. Another reason I wanted to go to Aspen is because I was invited to participate in a flashmob dance project (youtube flashmob dance).

Shortly after arriving in Aspen, I got three calls from interested employers in NYC who wanted me to interview immediately! WTF?! I hear nothing for weeks, and the one week I decide to leave, I get inundated with phone calls. I also spoke with a girl who lives in my NYC building who will probably be moving out at the end of August. If I stay, I can take her room so I won't have to live with Crazy anymore! :)

Not only did I get offers in NYC, but many doors opened for me in Aspen. First, I learned that my old house is available to rent. Then, I was offered work from two former employers. I also was speaking to one of my dancers from my entertainment company (www.BOLDllc.com) and we discussed starting a new dance company in the fall. I also have had a great time with my friends and even had a yummy (but innocent) sleepover with my cute snuggle buddy last night. Just being in nature, hiking and the sheer beauty of the mountains is so refreshing. Feels good to be home!

I will definitely be in NYC for the month of August. But, September is up in the air. If things go well in NYC, I'll stay. If not, it's nice knowing that I have the option of coming back to Aspen. I'm a lucky girl! :)
