Crazy is a herpe: an annoying disease that won't go away. As you may recall, Cool Guy and I kicked Crazy out of our 3-bedroom apartment after the Battery In Battery Park incident. We told her that we did not feel safe with her living in the apartment. She complied for two days-- the best two days I had had since moving into the apartment! Unfortunately, she came back and refused to move. Every day thereafter was extremely uncomfortable. I put my mattress on the floor in Cool Guy's room and slept there because I was worried that something crazy might happen in the middle of the night again, and he has a lock on his door.

When Cool Guy left for work, I would lock myself in his room. I avoided her as much as possible. When she did say something to me, it was always something condescending or patronizing. So, I just ignored her. I began searching for a new apartment; there was no way I was going to live with that psycho druggie for 3 more months! I had just found another apartment to swap with another tenant in the building (for the remainder of the lease) when Crazy went crazy again, and got herself kicked out after throwing glass and injuring Cool Guy.

Cool Guy and I were elated to learn that Crazy was court-ordered to vacate the apartment over the next two days. So, we decided to have a celebration on the evening of her eviction deadline. We invited a few friends over for cocktails on the rooftop. When the rooftop closed at 10:30pm, we decided to move the party to Stone Street. We stopped by the apartment, where the party came to a screeching halt.

We were shocked to see Crazy there, with two police escorts. Although she had been given two days to remove her belongings, she waited until one hour before the deadline to get her things. Anyone who has seen her room knows that she is a hoarder. She keeps food, dirty dishes, piles upon piles of clothes and random items in her room. There was absolutely no way she could remove all of her crap in an hour! She collected what she could, but left the majority of her things. This means that she has to make an appointment through the courts to come back for rest. So, like a herpe, Crazy will be back...

Crazy moment: As Crazy was removing items from the kitchen, she lifted a roll of paper towels and declared, "This is my property! Someone went into my room and stole my property! And I'm missing a yogurt!" She asked the police what she could do about missing property. "Get a lawyer to make the claim," was the officer's response. Next blog: Crazy Sues Over Paper Towels and Yogurt?
