Crazy Needs Rehab
This blog is a follow-up to my previous (Never A Dull Moment). After my crazy night, I got home at 7am to find my roommate, Crazy, awake in her room. I told her my story, and she told me a better one: She had just gotten home from the hospital after suffering her first seizure. This followed a 2-3 day sleep-deprived drug binge. She told me that she was released only after threatening to sue the hospital if they didn't release her. So what does she do?: Invites me to come with her to a Def Jam after-party, of course! Seizure shmeezure! If a seizure isn't a wake-up call, I don't know what is.
Anyway, she snorted a bump of cocaine and invited me to join her to the after-hours party. I agreed to go since I thought she could use a babysitter in case she had another medical scare and I was already awake and dressed. Plus, she said that there would be good business contacts for me to meet. In the taxi, she snapped at the driver when he drove a 1/2 block too far. She cursed and screamed at him to stop the meter and commanded him to drive us around the entire block, rather than walk 15 seconds to get to our destination. When we arrived, I thought we were on the set of a bad gangsta movie. Gheeeetto! I felt dirty just being there.
I tried to leave as quickly as possible but got grabbed to dance with a 36-year-old transvestite on ecstasy (literally). Then I got stuck chatting in a nasty-ass bathroom with a coked-out thug who had some sort of business proposition. I just kept nodding my head even though I couldn't understand a word he was saying in his incoherent rant. I was completely disgusted when he took my brand new Blackberry and started typing his information into my phone with his black fingernails and scrubby hands. I feel like he had just raped my Blackberry. After watching Crazy and her weirdo friends do cocaine and GHB (both of which I politely declined), I left.
When I got home, I took a long shower and scrubbed off the grimy after-party. I told my sane roommate, Cool Guy, about Crazy's seizure and continued drug use. He told me he would talk to her about it and he went back to his room. I went to my room and began to write this blog when guess who came home?! Crazy, Transvestite, Scrubby Hands, and Big Drug-dealer Guy. That bitch actually brought these losers back here! What is wrong with this girl?! I texted Cool Guy to come to my room so I wouldn't have to see those weirdos again, and told him that she goes or I do. I've had it!
P.S. Crazy's Thug boyfriend came by this afternoon when she was still out on the previous drug binge. He later returned and asked to "borrow the kitchen for five minutes." I was shocked at this odd request but reluctantly agreed. Turns out, he needed the counter to cut drugs to sell. I told him that was a one-time thing, and in the future he would not be allowed to "borrow" the apartment for any reason. And I thought that would be the most awkward part of my day!
