Under: Life
Since Crazy moved out of the apartment that I share with Cool Guy, life has been grand! I feel much more relaxed, productive, and have more fun! Unfortunately, the lease ends in 15 days. Luckily, I already put a deposit on another apartment located in East Village. It is across the street from my favorite yoga studio, karoake bars, great restaurants, one of my favorite sports pubs, spas, and good shopping. And the rent was very low for the area. Score!
Yesterday, I received a message stating that the current tenant is staying through December. I nearly fainted! What the hell am I gona do now?! I put a deposit on the apartment two months ago, and now with only 15 days remaining, I'm supposed to find somewhere else?! Apartment hunting in NYC is a nightmare! Before I found my current spot, I looked at a lot of disgusting, overpriced shitholes in areas that I wouldn't visit even with armed guards. I am beyond stressed out, and quite perturbed about the situation. I have had nothing but bad luck with living situations in this friggin' city. First, I had a psychotic drug dealer as a roommate. Now, I'm getting screwed over again and am on the verge of homelessness. This is friggin' ridiculous!
After nearly four months of trying to make it work in NYC, I've been jumping hurdles the entire time and my legs are getting tired. Honestly, I'm kind of over it. I think I'm going to take some time to decompress and restore my mind, body, and spirit at a yoga retreat. A few weeks there, followed by a bit of traveling should do me good!
