I promised myself that I would not write anymore blogs pertaining to my roommate, "Crazy", and the never-ending drama that she radiates. Because she discovered my blog, I thought it would be wise to cease writing about her in order to maintain a civil living situation. However, things have recently changed. Here's what happened:

I had just returned from an extremely long day of activity, including early morning skydiving. I was eager to return home and be productive--I had a lot of things that I wanted to get done. I walked in the apartment highly motivated. I placed my purse on the table and headed to my bedroom when Crazy confronted me. I didn't even have 10 seconds to settle in before she started at me with a ridiculous argument. Apparently, she was upset that Cool Guy and I had allowed our friends to use our bathroom the night before, after having wine on the rooftop. This upset her because we had recently asked her to not have company after 1am because we were going to be sleeping, and the person she invited that particular night was an admitted drug dealer. We simply asked her to be considerate and not have late-night guests-- especially because the last time she had late-night visitors, Cool Guy ended up in the ER (read "Battery in Battery Park").

She argued that if we could have guests over, so should she. I reiterated to her that guests were not the issue. It was the drugs and the inapproptiate hours of visitors that were concerns. She got extremely aggressive and agitated. She even compared wine to cocaine and argued, "Alcohol is a drug!" While this is a true statement, she cannot logically argue that having two glasses of wine is equal to snorting a bag of cocaine every day. Aside from legal reasons, I don't think I need to lecture anyone about this. I assume you are a logical audience.

She became extremely frustrated that I did not concede to her. She began yelling, at which point Cool Guy came out of his room to investigate the matter. Since he is a sane person, he agreed with me, which further aggravated Crazy. At this point, she became extremely confrontational, physically threatening me, screaming in my face, grabbing my arm, chest bumping me, and clapping her hands aggressively in my face. I thanked her for applauding me, and told her that I would be happy to file assault charges against her if she were to follow through with any of her threats.

Cool Guy realized that trying to rationalize with a psychotic person was pointless. He suggested that I go to my room so that he could try to calm her down. His plan didn't work. She was drinking a glass of water (or maybe it was vodka?). Anyway, she spiked it at the ground between me and Cool Guy. Consequently, Cool Guy was severely cut and had to go to the ER yet again! I stood there in shock, as Cool Guy instructed me to call 9-1-1. As I spoke to the operator, Crazy yelled like a psycho in the background as she began sweeping up the broken glass.

Extremely shaken, I headed to the lobby of our luxury apartment building, cried to the doorman and nervously waited for the police. When they finally arrived, I had calmed down considerably and explained the situation, as well as the backstory. I escorted the officers to the apartment, where Crazy performed an impressive improv comedy routine. The police, however, were not amused.

... to be continued.
