I've read several articles that claim there's a man shortage in NYC. There's charts, graphs, horror stories, and statistics that support this glim claim. Well I'm here to let you know that it's a load of crap! I've only been here for 12 days, and can't seem to keep them away! Everywhere I go I have men approaching me. And most of them are actually interesting, attractive, succussful men who act like they actually want to get to know me. And they're even asking me for actual dates, rather than try to get me to go home with them straight away. Maybe it helps that I didn't meet these guys at bars or clubs. I actually met them all through mutual friends. And I don't even have that many friends here!

I don't get it...Colorado claims to have a much higher male to female ratio. Yet,I found dating there extremely challenging. And women in New York City are the most beautiful in the world. Don't get me wrong-- I'm totally cute. But I live in the model capitol of the world! I'm an average-looking midget at 5' 2," compared to the tall beauties of NYC.

Anyway, I've gotten more than 15 texts from seven different guys since yesterday! And I'm not even trying! Maybe they can sense that I'm not really interested in dating right now, and they like the challenge. (I actually kinda miss my Aspen guy.) Or maybe I'm just being a naive, midwest girl. Maybe all of these men are serial daters and already have five other girlfriends and just want a 6th. Or maybe I'm just the luckiest girl ever in the NYC dating world! For whatever reason, I am getting a lot of male attention here in the Big Apple- and I like it! :)
