Douchebag McDouche
After weeks of hiatus, I've decided to come out of hiding. I unpublished my blog because some douchebag scammed me for a chunk of my net worth and now I'm suing him. I've been busy playing detective and looking for a cardboard box to make my home. However, I've missed making fun of myself, bad dates, and crazy people. So, I'm back. Plus, I must tell you about this huge douche bag and my subsequent homelessness as a result of his douchieness. Hopefully my sob story will inspire you to donate to my Paypal account. :)
Remember when Crazy was ruining my life, and I decided to look for another place to live? Well, I stumbled upon a room that was available October 15. Although it was two months away, I loved the location so decided to put down a deposit to secure my spot. I made arrangements to rent my neighbor's room until I could move into my new spot. That arrangement was cancelled when Crazy was court ordered to move out after another crack-head, psycho freak-out that resulted in another trip to the ER for Cool Guy (Read "Skydiving and Restraining Orders.). Finally, I was able to enjoy my New York experience! Cool Guy and I had a fabulous time after Crazy left. During the final weeks of our lease, Cool Guy started to get nervous about where he was going to live when the lease ended. I was bummed that I had already lined up a place because I wanted to be roomies with Cool Guy again. But, I already put down the deposit. Instead, I suggested that he look for a place with a friend of mine who was also planning on moving out of the building. Thanks to me, they paired up and found an amazing apartment at an even more luxurious building! Though I was sad to lose Cool Guy as a roomie, I was super stoked about moving into my new place, which was across the street from my favorite yoga studio and in one of my favorite neighborhoods, East Village.
On October 15, I received a text from Douchebag McDouche stating that I would not be able to move in until January! He then avoided me like the plague, until I hunted his ass down and confronted him. He promised he would return my deposit, which he never did. After I sent several ass-kissing e-mails and phone calls, Mr. McDouche notified me that he would NOT be returning my deposit. This sent me into a mad rage and since then, I have been focusing all of my energy on ruining his life, or at least getting my money back. So, I'm suing him and trying to figure out where to go from here. Stay in NYC? Go back to Aspen for ski season? Volunteer abroad for a few months? Go to a yoga retreat?
After 10 days of crashing on friend's couches, I've decided to leave town and get some clarity. First stop: LA!
